Stressing over stretch marks

I'm 14 years old and generally am pretty happy with the way I look.

But, I was changing the other day and noticed a few STRETCH MARKS on the inside of my leg! Does this mean I weigh too much?

Hey girl,

Stretch marks are totally normal and even celebs get them. Since you're probably going through puberty, this is a time when gals start getting all sorts of new hips, boobs and curves.

Stretch solution

The best way to deal with 'em is a tried-and-true moisturizer that's been used for decades—cocoa butter. You can buy a tube or jar of this creamy stuff at any drugstore. Just rub it on your stretch marks once or twice a day. They won't disappear completely, but it should reduce their appearance somewhat. You can also apply it on your thighs and hips to help prevent future stretch marks.

Weighty matters

Stretch marks don't discriminate when it comes to size or shape—they can appear on any chica. You might've just had a recent growth spurt or maybe your legs got a li'l more curvy. As long as your exercising regularly, eating healthy and ya feel good, I wouldn't stress about your the number on the scale.

But if you do notice your marks getting worse, deeper or they start to itch, you might wanna see your derm. But like most of us girls, stretch marks are something you'll just have to learn to live with an embrace. And don't get embarrassed. They're something lots of ladies have.
