The Best Spring Ponytails

One of the best parts about spring is there are plenty of opps to get dressed in your cutest threads!
But—eek!—how’s a girl to do her hair?

A pretty pony is the perfect solution. Here’s how to dress the ‘do up for every event ya attend.

A Voluminous Pony

Grab some extra height, girl! Start by using a 1 ½ inch curling iron to curl 1-inch pieces of hair throughout your head. Use a rattail comb to part hair to one side. Back comb hair on the crown of your head to amp the volume. Smooth strands to the nape of the neck and slightly to the side, and secure with a hair tie. Style bangs and pieces in the front with a flat iron, leaving them loose and piece-y. Finish off the look by spritzing a little hair spray to keep the hold. How chic!

Stick-Straight Pony

A sleek look will make you look classic. Straighten hair with a flatiron and pull it up into a tight, high ponytail. Take a long chunk out of the ponytail, braid it, and then wrap it around the base of the ponytail, covering the hair tie. Keep the rest of the hair straight and sleek. Wanna go funky? Clip on a colorful hair extension. Pretty in punk!

Gorgeously Coifed Curls

Trying to dress up those curly locks? Apply curl cream to damp hair and blow-dry with a diffuser. Then, part hair down the middle. Take a 1-inch section of hair from the front of one side and tightly twist it back and secure with a bobby pin about ¾ back from your hair line. Repeat with the other side. To add a little extra style, secure the twists with adorable hair clips. Then pull your curly tresses into a ponytail that sits at about the middle of your head, and let the natural curls free!
