Easy romantic hair idea: Duchess Kate's waves

If you’re lucky enough to snag a prince date for fast-approaching Valentine’s Day, we’ve got your big night hairstyle covered. This February, look no further than the queen of curls herself, Duchess Kate. We’re sharing the steps to snagging her beautifully bouncy style for date night or, really, anytime!
Getting started:
Gather your tools: blow dryer, comb, round brush, wide barrel curling iron and some princess power (you know, to guarantee that your crush will be falling at your feet).
Step one:
Make sure you have conditioned your hair to perfection after that lovely, hot (and much needed) bubble bath. Blow-dry hair straight and make sure all knots have been combed out to make sectioning simpler.
Tip: Use a tiny bit of shine serum at this step if you really want to give your tresses the royal treatment.
We like: Wella Mirror Polish Shine Serum, $16, ulta.com

Step two:
Brush through again and section the hair into six segments. Wrap each section around the widest part of your curling iron barrel and hold for 10 seconds, then release slowly to create a spiral. Hair spray the spiral with a flexible hold formula, then repeat across all sections. Short locks? Don’t fret: You can still pull off this look with a smaller barrel curling iron. A true twist on the Middleton madness.
Try: Living Proof Hold Flexible Hairspray, $14, sephora.com

Step three:
Use your fingers to gently separate out the spirals into big, bouncy waves. Spritz again with a stronger hairspray, and you’re on your way!
We heart: L’Oreal Elnett Satin Extra Strong Hold Unscented Hairspray, $15, ulta.com

Remember:
Don’t waste the opp to make a few swish-and-flicks happen with your newly gorge princess hair.
