Coconut oil: 6 ways to use this skin-saving beauty secret

Coconut oil is one amazing product that can be used to fix multiple beauty issues. It not only smells ah-mazing, but it’s super moisturizing and can shorten the list of products you use. Use it in the shower, post-shower, on your hands and feet and even in your hair! Read up on how you can use this wonder-stuff in your day-to-day.

Coconut Oil Moisturizer

Coconut oil quenches dry, cracked winter skin and smells amazing while healing. Try a body butter or soufflé with coconut oil to give your skin moisture and glow. Apply this creamy lotion all over your arms, legs and chest when you hop out of the shower and prepare to see instant results.

Coconut Oil Cuticle Cream

Massage a tiny bit of coconut oil onto your cuticles before your at-home manicure. This will soften them up so you can gently push the cuticle back just like at the salon.

Coconut Oil Shaving Cream

For shiny and smooth legs, try your coconut oil as a shaving cream. After hopping into your morning shower, massage a bit of coconut oil onto your legs, then shave. This product will leave your legs so silky smooth and deeply moisturized.

Coconut Oil Hair Mask

We weren’t exaggerating when we said this product was for everything…especially for deep conditioning your hair! Add a generous amount of coconut oil to your hair paying extra attention to your ends. Wrap your hair up into a topknot and secure with a clip. Leave this in for as long as you can while you clean your room or lounge on the couch, but at least for 10-15 minutes. Rinse out in the shower to reveal yummy smelling, shiny hair!

Coconut Oil DIY Scrub

Combine your coconut oil and regular white sugar in a mason jar for a DIY body and foot scrub to use in the shower. It not only smells delish (hello, tropical vacay!), but it will rid of yucky dead cells while deep conditioning your skin.

*Tip: Rub gently in big circles all over legs before you shave, this will help to get a much closer and longer lasting shave.

Coconut Oil Lip Balm

Create your perfect winter lip balm by adding a tiny bit of coconut oil into any mini sample container that you can toss in your bag. For a fun tint, mix in a small amount of Kool-Aid powder for color!
