Hair ties are a staple in our world. No matter how awful a hair day, throwing your hair up in a quick ponytail eliminates the mess. But, on those days when you’re in a crunch for time and want a more formal look, ditch the plain pony and go for something fun, flirty and fancy!

    Sky-high

Get Cher Lloyd’s super sleek look by gathering all of your hair tightly at the crown of your head, except for a 1-inch piece. Then, once secured with a hair tie, take the piece that you left out and wrap completely around the tie until covered. Finally, run a little bit of anti-frizz cream on the top of your hair to tame any fly-aways. Boom—star worthy hair!

    Sweet side

Taylor Swift sure knows how to show off her girly side. Get her look by doing this super sweet style on yourself. Comb your hair into a deep side part and gather it all to one side. Secure your hair with a tie right behind your ear. Then, pull out a few face-framing pieces and you’re done. Got an extra second or two? Place a sparkly barrette on your hair tie to add a little glimmer.

    Flower power

Willow Shields’ ponytail is truly business in the front and a party in the back. To get the look, start by brushing all of your hair straight back and securing with a hair tie. Then, take a pretty floral headband or flower crown and tie it around your ponytail. Instant glam!

    Fun and flippy

For a modern twist on a formal look, go for a flipped-up front like Zendaya. Just part your hair wherever it falls naturally and tie it back, leaving the front pieces out. Then, flip up the front pieces of your hair and secure with bobby pins. Add pretty ribbons for a feminine touch.
