Get goddess skin: 5 tips for a flawless face

Whether you are prone to hormonal breakouts, struggle with pimples, have oily or dry skin or just don’t know how to get a clearer face, everyone struggles with less-than-stellar skin. In the selfie age especially, social pressures demand a photo-ready face. Getting goddess skin means prepping and taking care of your skin, first things first. Knowing your skin type helps to better treat the problems at its source. Below are five tips to getting gorgeous goddess skin.

Keep makeup simple

Don’t overdo it on the products, as some makeup may irritate your precious skin. Instead of foundation, try a tinted moisturizer or BB balm. Your face will look radiant—without any extra stuff.

Always remove your makeup before going to sleep

How does sleeping in your makeup hurt? The excess products on your face will clog your pores over time and could cause acne. Also, don’t wear makeup while working out, because the sweat will mix with your makeup and could also lead to breakouts. Always wash your face before bed and before hitting the gym.

Be gentle to your skin

We know it’s hard, but try not to pop your pimples. Doing so will cause inflammation, leave scars and result in dark blemishes that require more work to remove. Being gentle to your skin also means protecting it, so wear sunscreen even if you are stepping out of the house for 15 minutes.

Get regular sleep

Doctors recommend teens get 8 or more hours of sleep. This should be good news; who doesn’t love sleep? Also a little shut-eye does wonders for skin. Lack of sleep not only causes visible dark circles and dullness but it hinders the body from producing a natural hormone called collagen that helps the skin repair itself at night.

Get plenty of exercise and eat a balanced diet

Some believe the secret to getting flawless skin is based on what we put into our bodies. Sure, having junk food here and there doesn’t hurt tremendously but constant unhealthy foods take a toll on skin, as you may not be receiving the proper nutrients that can actually help keep your skin clear and healthy. Exercising also is a great way to remove toxins and it can help to reduce stress - another way to get on the path to glowing, beautiful skin.
