Got roses for V-Day? Make this rose water toner for petal-soft skin

Roses are red, violets are blue. V-day is over, so now what to do?

Put that beautiful rose bouquet your BF (or your mom–no judgment) got you to good use with a DIY rose water toner. Not only is this yummy-smelling natural product amazing for reducing redness and hydrating dry winter skin, but it feels totally luxurious and feminine. Get crafting, gorgeous!

What you'll need:

  • 2-3 cups of rose petals
  • A pot
  • Water
  • Strainer
  • A bowl

Instructions:

  1. Place your rose petals in the pot and fill the pot with water until all the rose petals are covered.
  2.
  3. Cover the pot and put the stove on low until most of the color has faded from the petals (this should take about 20 minutes). Make sure the temp is not too high, as heat can destroy the rose’s nutrients and color.
  4.
  5. Drain the water into a bowl and let cool.
  6. When finished cooling, transfer the water into a spray bottle or jar. You can use a cotton ball to apply or spray directly on your face. For best results, store your toner in the fridge. (It can last up to two months.)

Note: Use the rose toner after you wash your face with your fave cleanser. After applying, let your face dry before slathering on some amazing moisturizer.
