No doubt, over the next few weeks you'll be back-to-school shopping and endlessly planning so you can make the best impression on your first day of school. You haven't seen your classmates and teachers in *months* so it's essential to make that first week count. With this funky and fun nail art, all eyes will be on you.

What you'll need:

Red polish
Blue polish
Green polish
Purple polish
Yellow polish
+One shade lighter of the above colors
Black polish
White polish

Directions:

1. Paint each nail with a different lighter shade of polish and let dry.

2. Paint a band of the matching darker shade across the top of each nail. If you have difficulty with straight lines, try using electrical tape to cover where you don't want the new layer. Let dry.

3. Paint a black band about halfway down on each nail and let dry.

4. Use the white polish to make a wave through the black bar and let dry.

5. Take the lighter shade of each color (your base color) and carefully trace over the white. Let dry and you're done!
