Try it: 5 fab ways to wear one lip color

It can be hard to keep up with all of the trends and new products when you’re a babe on a budget. We’ve been spending tons of time trying to brainstorm ways to help your products do double beauty duty, so you can save some major $$$! Try these tricks that we’ve rounded up to turn one lip color into five stunning looks.

First, you'll need to start out with a great lip color. We suggest transitioning your summer colors to fall. Try a pretty soft pink shade that'll complement your tan, and serve as a nice alternative to nude once #sweaterweather season hits!

1. Pair with winged liner.

Sometimes it doesn’t take much for a bold look, and a good liner is a makeup bag staple. Apply your fave (try this hack for applying it with a bobby pin!) and slick on your lip color. You’ll be giving off *major* Gigi vibes!

2. Wear it as eye shadow.

This is a straight-from-the-runway beauty look that you have to try! Use a Q-tip to gently apply lip color to your lids. Blend with your fingers or the Q-tip so your brushes don’t get goopy, and make sure to sanitize your lip color before applying so it doesn’t irritate your eyes. *So* much easier to carry around than that huge Naked palette, right?

3. Make it glossy.

Have you ever bought a new gloss and realized it's the same shade as one of your lipsticks? Skip out on the duplicates *and* save major money by adding a coat of clear gloss to your lipstick. This look will give off some major glam, and will help make your lips look fuller. Take a hint from Zendaya and try it with dramatic eyes. Perfect for a date or the school dance! We heart this gloss from Glossier.

4. Try it as blush.

This trick is decades-old, but still works like a charm. Any type of lip color can serve as a pretty cream blush. Just swipe some lines on your cheeks and blend with your fingers. You might wanna skip any powders or foundations before you apply to avoid any strange texture. Some beauty experts suggest going bold by adding the same color to your lips for a monochromatic look.

5. Blot it for a lip stain look.

Ever seen some of your fave celebs wear a lip stain, but you were too intimidated to try? TBH, we get it. Once that stuff is on, it's *on*. Ease yourself into this trend by applying your lip color, then blotting it with a tissue to get a similar look. Stains are super long-lasting, so you'll be looking absolutely gorg all day!
