You may know how to French braid, or how to Dutch braid, but do you know how to fishtail braid? If not, now is a great time to learn! 

Learn how to fishtail braid with these 5 simple steps:

Step 1: Brush and part your hair as normal. 

Step 2: Bring all of your hair to one side or down the back depending on where you want your braid.

Step 3: Split your hair into two big sections.

Step 4: Grab a small piece of hair from one of the big sections and bring it over to the other big section. 

Step 5: Repeat step 4 alternating sections each time. 

That's it! Fishtail braiding is super easy and looks absolutely gorgeous. Once you master this braid, there are tons of hairstyles and variations you can do. If you already know how to French braid (or want to learn), you can also try a French fishtail!
