5 hairstyles to try for growing out a buzz cut

Season 4 of Stranger Things brought back Eleven's iconic buzz cut. It's a look that's easy to manage and makes a statement, but there's definitely an awkward stage when it comes to growing it out. Here are some trendy and easy looks for growing out a buzz cut.

Finger waves

Take a trip back to the 1920s and style your hair using finger waves. This look takes some patience, but it is *totally* worth it. For finger waves, you'll need hair gel or mousse and a comb. Starting with damp strands, run the product through your hair. Then, using your fingers and your comb, sculpt your hair into waves! This style usually takes some practice, but you'll be a pro in no time.

You can never go wrong with a classic ponytail (or two, or three...or as many as you want!). Just part your hair into sections and tie them using some reusable hair ties. You can even get some decorative ties to spice things up. This look is so easy and so cute.

Wearing a scarf/bandana

Having a bad hair day? We've got the solution for you. Find a silk scarf or a bandana and fold it into a triangle. Tie the two furthest ends together, then slide it on over your hair. If you need some extra security, add bobby pins at the edges of the scarf to make sure it doesn't slip off. Now, no one will ever know what's going on underneath.

Butterfly clips

Now is the time to break out your butterfly clips for a '90s inspired look. They're colorful, they're cute and there are a ton of different ways you can style them. Clip them into your hair wherever, or use them to section off your hair into small ponytails. There are really no rules when it comes to butterfly clips.

Slicked back

If you want to channel Season 2 Eleven, look no further than this next hairstyle. Grab some gel (okay, *a lot* ), and slick your hair back. You can use your hands or a comb — whatever is easiest for you! Now you're totally ready to take down some demodogs.
