Ed. Obsession under $30: Wow-worthy watches

I use my phone for everything. Who doesn’t, right? From checking emails to getting myself home when I’m lost (and with my non-existent sense of direction, that happens a lot), I can’t imagine going a day without my trusty smart phone. Of course, checking the time is at the top of that list, so why bother getting a watch?

Turn the clock a few weeks back when my phone stopped working. Eek! Not that much fun pestering everyone for the time. That was my a-ha moment: I need a watch! Sure, my phone won’t break down every day, but it’s still easier to have a backup than not. And since I’m a fashion fiend, it has to be adorbs. Behold my roundup of the cutest watches that won’t waste time or money.

As a travel and geography geek, I’m a sucker for anything with a map on it. Let’s do lunch at Istanbul, shall we?

Globe Stretch Watch, $28, urbanoutfitters.com

Colorblock with your wrist clock. Just a touch of cool mint, and you’ve got a midsummer slump pick-me-up.

Xhilaration Women’s Round Bracelet Watch – Mint, $17, target.com

Let’s face it: Watches are just bracelets with function. Don’t be late to the arm party with this studded stunner.

Studded Wrap Watch, $25, delias.com

My fave is this ticking ticker. So vintage, so romantic, it must be love. And, just like a locket, it opens up. Be still, my heart.

For All The Time Pocket Watch Necklace In Love, $28, modcloth.com
