Ed. Obsession under $30: Eye-catching baubles

My greatest love is travel, next to fashion (natch). As a fashion fiend, I forgo the typical souvenirs and pick up something to add to my closet or jewelry box. Way better than those mass-produced, dust-collecting tchotchkes, right?

But there’s always one item I regret overlooking: An evil eye necklace from a trip to Turkey in high school. From sidewalk shops to the bustling bazaar, I couldn’t turn anywhere without spotting the cobalt blue talismans. They were tempting, but I went with a simpler set to match my prom dress instead.

Luckily, the fashion deities were watching out for me. Those good luck charms are everywhere this season. Whether you’re channeling the boho vibe or looking for a touch of glitz, this is the trend to try this school year. Check out which dazzlers I’ve set my sights on.

I spy the perfect necklace to wear on first day.
