BE is the *perfect* album to end 2020

No one can deny that this year has been pretty crazy. We don't know about you, but we've practically been counting down the days until the new year. BTS' new album BE is the *perfect* album to get you through the end of 2020. The eight-track album dropped on November 20 and each song has its own unique message of hope.

The title track "Life Goes On" has a sentimental and soothing sound that speaks to the hardships of the COVID-19 pandemic and how it seemed like "One day, the world stopped / Without any warning," understanding that the days have seemed dark lately, but that life goes on and better days are coming. The soulful music pairs beautifully with the comforting music video set in the group's own home, as the boys hang out in their PJ's. #Relatable.

Continuing to show the mix of emotions we've all been feeling in these difficult times, "Fly to My Room" the song featuring just Suga, J-Hope, Jimin and V, shares how BTS feels like the pandemic is never-ending, driving them crazy, but they can still have fun in their rooms and start "feelin' brand new,". This song is *perfect* for playing while dancing around your room with your hairbrush microphone.

We get it. This year has been overwhelming, and sometimes you just need a good cry to let it all out. The tender and emotional "Blue & Grey" which hints about depression and anxiety, as well as the totally normal desire to "want to be happier," has beautiful instrumentals and calming vocals. Go ahead and shed a tear or two, we won't judge.

In the next song "Telepathy" the mood brightens, pairing a funky and happy beat with the group singing about how even though we're not together physically, our relationships stay strong and valuable. Carrying on the upbeat *vibes*, vintage hip-hop track"Dis-ease" encourages listeners to "throw away the fear" and keep moving forward.

The EDM bop "Stay" with subunit RM, Jin and Jungkook reminds fans and listeners one last time to keep holding on and staying strong. "No matter where we are right now / Wherever you are / I know you always stay." This song is *totally* meant to be performed on tour, and we're all looking forward to when we can go to concerts IRL again.

BTS wraps up the album with their smash hit of the summer; "Dynamite." We've been *obsessed* with the disco-pop sound of Dynamite since its release and the now Grammy-nominated song is timeless in its ability to get us up dancing and smiling.

Even if we probably wish 2020 hadn't turned out to be this crazy, BE truly encapsulates all the ups and downs of this year and uses great music to spread a message of hope and healing to bring us through to the new year.
