EXCLUSIVE! 5 fast facts about Amber Brown's Liliana Inouye

Looking for a brand-new series to stream this summer? Look no further. Apple TV+'s Amber Brown adaptation is hitting screens Friday, July 29, and we couldn't be more psyched to dive headfirst into the heartwarming (and v. hilarious) ABCU (that is, Amber Brown Cinematic Universe). We got the chance to chat with up-and-coming actress Liliana Inouye, who seriously slays the part of Brandi, Amber's brand-new BFF. Scroll for five fun facts about Liliana and all things AB

She's a lot like her Amber Brown character, Brandi.
"Brandi helps Amber navigate the challenges of middle school and reminds her that it's OK to still have some fun when things get tough. She doesn't care what anyone else thinks—and she has a super strong personality. Since filming the show, I strive to be more like Brandi. She's confident, quirky and a little bit mysterious."

Liliana and Carsyn (aka Amber) are real-life BFF goals.
"Everyone is just one big family. Carsyn and I are besties on screen and off—and we even have our very own secret handshake that we do before scenes."

She has years of acting experience under her belt...
"Ever since I was little, I've loved performing. I started taking acting classes at five years old, and I fell in love with it. Whether I'm on stage or on screen, I can fully express myself through acting."

...and she's *super* passionate about learning new languages.
I recently went to Thailand for a couple months, and I actually went to school there and started picking up the language. My first language is Hebrew, though, and I learned English after moving to Vancouver. I've also been able to teach myself American Sign Language, but I'm dying to learn French still—I'm obsessed with Paris. I've never been, but I'd love to go there some day.

Liliana's dream role is out of this world.
My dream is to play a character who can fly. I want to be attached to one of those harnesses and pretend I'm flying—so maybe playing a superhero is the role for me. It just looks like so much fun.
