The most embarrassing Idols

The 10th season of American Idol returns to FOX tomorrow night at 8 p.m. And, face it, half the fun falls at the beginning of every season where we get to catch the most amazing—and most cringe-worthy—auditions from across the country.

The series has stumbled upon a lot of true talent. But the ones who stick out in our heads the most are the bold, outlandish, aching ones that have provided us with tons of laughs throughout the years. We put together a list of our most enjoyable Idol auditions. Did your fave make the cut?

William Hung. We’re sure the dorky dude’s rendition of “She Bangs” even put Ricky Martin to shame. But, hey, he managed to turn his skill (or lack therof) into a money-churning empire.

Trista Giese. She loves impersonating the lion from The Wizard of Oz…and that’s about it.

Pat Ford. All the kid wants to do is holler. And after hearing his whiney “Womanizer” performance, he might want to find a new career path.

Jennifer Page. A mime on a singing competition? Not sure if she got the memo, but that actually requires you to use your vocal chords.

Katrina Darrell. Great voice, but the lady better known as “Bikini Girl” had a few, er, assets that proved to be a bit distracting.

General Larry Platt. Anyone knows a successful artist should be equipped with stellar originals. This guy’s “Pants on the Ground” creation was LOL hilarious…and an overnight success.

Which American Idol audition did you love the most? What type of craziness are you hoping to see this time around? Blog about it, babes.
