With all the strength, powers and bravery of Superman but added girl power to boot, Supergirl has always been one of our faves, and though we've been reading her comic books for ages, she's finally getting her chance to shine on the smallscreen in CBS's new show. And with former Glee star Melissa Benoist taking on the role—and rocking it—we're ready to tune in.

In the trailer alone, we can already catch glimpses of Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl, kicking butt and saving lives, embracing her superhuman abilities and being generally adorable. Not only is she able to hold the weight of the world, she's also excited to do it. And it's not just Kara that's awesome. The show also seems hilarious and light-hearted, plus ready to challenge anyone who thinks that a girl can't be super. Check it out.
