Malia Obama might've just landed the coolest internship of all time

After First Daughter Malia Obama was spotted on the set of a TV show last week, everyone was buzzing about what she might've been doing, whether it was visiting the set or filming her very own guest spot. Now, sources have confirmed that Malia is actually doing a summer internship, working for Taylor Swift’s friend Lena Dunham on the set of HBO’s hit series Girls. Talk about amazing.

Rumors have it that Malia is a huge fan of the hit show, which must make her new job even more exciting. After all, who wouldn't love to work with their favorite cast and crew all summer? Landing a job like that takes some serious luck (and, of course, skill), but when it comes to networkng, there's pretty much no better place to be than the White House.

"She's a fan, and she mentioned that to Lena [Dunham] when she came to the White House," revealed a source close to the production. "I'm not sure how long she'll be interning for. It's a bit of a trial thing for her. They've known each other and discussed for a while. Lena and her are getting along great." Malia's already been spotted running errands in Brooklyn, helping out with delivering coffee and other typical intern tasks like keeping fans and passers-bye from walking onto the set.

Though Malia just turned seventeen this past week (her birthday is the Fourth of July, which is pretty fitting for a president's daughter), she's still pretty young to be working in such a difficult business. But that's not to say that she's short on experience—she already worked as a production assistant on Halle Berry's show Extant, and she may also be interning at a fashion house this summer.

We're so glad we got to watch Malia grow up from the little girl she was when we first met during her dad's first presidential campaign to a super successful young woman ready to take on the world (and put in the work).

How awesome is Malia's internship? What's your dream internship? Tell us in the comments below.
