Skylar Stecker's got some big news about her new music

Remember Skylar Stecker from our April/May music mag, the thirteen-year-old with the incredibly powerful voice? And, of course, who could forget her awesome EP Firecracker that dropped in January? Well, our girl's got some good news and we're so excited to share it with you.

Skylar's been super busy working on more music, and now that she's got a few more tunes under her belt, she's ready to release her first debut studio album, This Is Me, coming out September 25th. Even better? She's also signed with pop/alternative label Cherrytree Records/Interscope.

After working with artists like Lady Gaga, Feist, Ellie Goulding and Robyn, we know that Cherrytree is a perfect fit for Skylar and we can't wait to hear how her first full album turns out.

"I've been having so much fun making new music over the last year," she said. "To now have the opportunity to team up with Martin [Kierszenbaum, Chairman of the Cherrytree Music Company] & Cherrytree/Interscope is a dream come true."

"I feel so excited and honored to be part of the @cherrytreerec / @interscope family🎉 #MusicMonday 🎶," she posted on Instagram.

On the sound for her new album, Skylar said, "This Is Me embraces the pop urban sound that I love and truly reflects who I am as an artist and songwriter. I feel incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by this amazing team who allows me to be me!"

And we feel fortunate to be along for the ride.

Are you ready to jam out to more of Skylar's hits like "Rooftop" and "Hey"?
