You know Matt Sato as Robbie Robbins in Brat TV's mega hit Chicken Girls, but this 18-year-old star has more than just acting cred. The Hawaii native also has written and directed a short film—and is a legit singer, too. We caught up with Matt to talk about his latest projects, his thoughts on being a celebrity—and his most awkward kissing scene.

True Feelings
There's a not-so-hidden message to Matt's GF, actress Tori Keeth, in his single "me 4 u." "[Tori] would tell me all the time, 'You need to better communicate with me how you feel.' I would never really explain how I felt about things. So, I wrote the song as my way of saying that I'm going to do my best to be totally honest and communicate everything that I feel with [her], even though it's hard for me."

Tune In
Aside from his appearance on Chicken Girls, Matt also pops up on The Attaway Appeal, the show's scripted podcast. "It's all your favorite characters from the Attaway realm," explains Matt. "Plus, it's all the characters from the Brat realm. I think that's the cool part about it—you get the best of each world."

Kiss Off
Matt never shies away from kissing scenes—but that's not to say they aren't awkward! "Once I had a scene with Lily Chee, where we had to be kissing on the side. It was really awkward because we had to do several takes and each take was about 30 seconds long, or even more, and throughout that entire time, we had to just be basically making out."

Fan Favorite
When it comes to fan love, Matt welcomes it all. "Some people can get annoyed when fans ask for pictures and stuff, but I think it's nice. It shows your hard work is paying off and that people care about you. You can get all the likes and comments in the world on social media, but when you actually experience personal interaction, that's when you know it's real."
