Feel Good Friday: Students trek to school in massive snow storm (and make fun out of a crummy sitch)

If you live anywhere in the United States (besides FL), you were probably hit with a massive cold front this week.

From temps that were in the negatives up North to it actually snowing in California (we're not kidding), it's safe to say that most of us were all at home wrapped up in blankets drinking hot cocoa.

Some states got hit so hard with snow that students were able to celebrate a snow day...woohoo!

But students at Fairfax County Public School System in Virginia were not so lucky. Although the roads were covered in snow and the streets were slick with ice, the students still braved the winter weather to get to school because officials decided it was OK for them to come in.

Many were outraged with the decision to have to attend school on such a crummy day...so they took it to Twitter to voice their opinions by using #closeFCPS (which began trending within minutes of the first tweet!).

That's when Fairfax County officials stepped in to apologize for not cancelling on Tuesday. Turns out, the storm was much worse than expected.

Best part of this story? The students got the attention of officials by joining together and taking it to social media with their hilarious and sassy Tweets.
