Today’s generation (aka you fab chicks!) is doing a top-notch job of choosing snacks wisely. Which means that now gals are grabbing fruit as their #1 snack choice. And cookies? Have fallen into snack spot #2. Some other new faves for post-practice treats include crackers and peanut butter, fruit snacks and granola bars.
This is the 1st time in 20 years that researchers are seeing a turn in snacktastic trends. And this turn means big things for health ‘n’ fitness too! Experts say that there is a definite link to eating healthier and lowering the obesity rate. And chances are, if you start making healthy snacking choices now, you’ll continue making them when you’re older.
Moms are playing a leading role in this action, too! Most moms (and dads) are shopping with a healthier mindset, choosing to serve up more veggies and dip. So drop the pop, err soda, snatch up an orange and join the millions of gals that are just saying no to fat-packin’ snacks.
