iPhone's iOS 9 is here (and it rocks)

That’s right, there's a new Apple iOS in town, and it’s bigger and better than ever. Well, actually it’s a bit smaller (we’ll explain in a sec). Here are some reasons why you *need* to press update.

1. Save major space

That’s right. For all of you gals who are always struggling to take just a few more concert pictures before the deadly “Out of Storage” message pops up, this update is for you. When filming, you can choose how to shoot the video to make it more memory-friendly and take up less space. Plus, the actual update itself takes up less storage in your operating system then iOS 8 did, giving you a ton more room for all of those sassy selfies.

2. Keep that cute voicemail

Whether it’s your BF or your BFF, sometimes hearing their voice makes you happy. With iOS 9 you can now save and send out voicemails through your messages or mail. So yeah, you’ll be able to listen to him say “ILY” over and over (and over) again.

3. No more, “My phone ran out of battery!”

We are totally loving the new battery saving mode—because, let’s face it, we’ve all been there. You know that terrible moment when your phone is about to die, and all you needed was a little more juice before you could get to an outlet? Look no further, the problem is solved.

4. Selfies & screenshots

A selfie and a screenshot folder are now already in your albums, so you don’t have to search through all your pics to find the selfie that you took last week. Plus, it’s pretty amusing to browse through your funny-face pics all in one place (who knew you pulled duckface literally all the time?).

5. Bringing it back

Now, you can easily go back to the previous app with a simple touch instead of having to go through the home screen. So when that Snapchat comes up, you can quickly check and get back to texting your bestie in a flash.

6. Six-digit passcodes

Before you're like, “This stinks!” because you have to spend a few extra seconds typing in those extra digits (trust us, we get it), it means your phone will probably be much more secure and have a way lower chance of being hacked. (If you’re seriously bummed, though, know your iPhone will still let you keep it to just four figures—or your high-tec fingerprint.)

The only thing missing is some awesome new emojis to go with our new iOS, but we're crossing our fingers for a unicorn next time. For now, we're pretty happy with what we've got. Check out everything else iOS 9 has to offer here.

Do you have an iPhone? What do you think of the iOS9 update?
