The *genius* way Greta Thunberg responded to President Trump's bullying

Greta Thunberg, the 16-year-old Swedish girl who bravely inspired the recent Strike for Climate Change, is passionate about her cause. For years, she has dedicated her life to spreading education and awareness about the threats that climate change poses, hoping to inspire international leaders to wake up and do something.

This week, Greta took to what was perhaps her most prestigious stage when she addressed the United Nations and delivered a moving speech for the world to see (you can watch an excerpt below).

All of the world leaders in attendance should have listened to what Greta, the voice of a generation, had to say, right? They should have respected her enough to take her seriously, especially since she represents the masses of young people who attended protests around the world just a few days ago, right? That's not exactly what happened. President Donald Trump took to Twitter to mock Greta's passion, presumably in an attempt to silence her altogether, tweeting, "She seems like a very happy young girl looking forward to a bright and wonderful future. So nice to see!"

The comment was an obvious slap to the face, especially since Greta has made it clear that she fears for a future on a planet that is in serious danger. How she responded, though, proves that she possesses maturity, intellect and control. Greta quickly changed her Twitter bio to "A very happy young girl looking forward to a bright and wonderful future." Our thoughts on her bold move? President Trump can keep his petty comments as Greta keeps on changing the world.

Have you ever put a bully in his or her place? Tell us in the comments!
