TikTok teens play an epic prank on President Donald Trump

For the past week, President Donald Trump has been boasting about kicking off his 2020 campaign to a soldout crowd at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. But on Saturday, the night of the big event, the venue was, well, not packed. The BOK Center has a capacity of 19,000, but according to The New York Times, the fire marshal for the Tulsa Fire Department counted 6,200 scanned tickets of attendees. So, what was with the thousands of empty seats?

Many teens on TikTok and other social media outlets have admitted to an underground campaign to reserve, but not use, tickets for the event.

For the teens involved, reserving tickets with no intention of attending the rally was a protest meant to send a message. “Trump has been actively trying to disenfranchise millions of Americans in so many ways, and to me, this was the protest I was able to perform,” said Erin Hoffman, an 18-year-old from upstate New York. “He doesn’t deserve the platform he has been given.”

With the presidential election still over four months away, teens are showing that their voices *will* be heard.
