Ugh as if! Recasting Clueless in 2020

It's the 25th anniversary of the iconic rom-com Clueless, and while I agree that this movie is perfect and should never ever be remade, I did find myself wondering, "Who could possibly bring the classic back to life?". In honor of the movie's anniversary, we've created a dream cast for a 2020 reboot full of Hollywood's youngest and brightest stars!

Zendaya as Cher

An iconic role like Cher Horowitz requires an actor with an unlimited amount of charisma and screen presence. Zendaya possesses the je ne sais quoi needed to play this beloved queen bee, and with her portrayal of Rue on HBO's Euphoria we know she has the acting chops to carry a big project like this.

Alexa Demie as Dionne

Alexa Demie could literally wear anything and make it look good, which makes her the perfect choice for Cher's bestie with adventurous style.

Maitreyi Ramakrishnan as Tai

Maitreyi Ramakrishnan would 100% steal the show as clueless new girl Tai. I would love to see Maitreyi channel her flawless comedic timing from Netflix's Never Have I Ever into some of Tai's most iconic lines.

Maya Hawke as Amber

I just think Stranger Things' Maya Hawke would have a lot of fun in Amber's questionable costumes.

Jordan Fisher as Josh

Jordan Fisher's mega-watt smile, twinkly eyes, and boy-next-door vibe make him the perfect successor for Paul Rudd

George Sear as Christian

The heartthrob of Hulu's Love, Victor has that Old Hollywood vibe that would def make Cher fall head over heels.

Darren Barnett as Elton

“If you make the decision to date a high school boy, they are the only acceptable ones.” Cher pretty much says it all in this quote. Barnett would kill it as the pretentious social director of Cher's squad.

Diego Tinoco as Murray

Does anyone else think that Alexa Demie and Diego Tinoco would have really great chemistry...or is that just me?

Rudy Pankow as Travis

The loveable goofball from Outer Banks is almost an obvious choice to play the quintessential California skater boy.

Andre Braugher as Mel

Andre Braugher's gravitas and booming voice are perfect for playing the iconic dad and top-notch Hollywood lawyer.

Tony Shaloub as Mr. Hall

Tony Shaloub never fails to crack me up with his dry delivery. He'd be hilarious as ornery debate teacher Mr. Hall.

Laura San Giacomo as Ms. Giest

Environmentally conscious babe Ms. Geist was ahead of her time! Laura San Giacomo would definitely do this role justice.
