Summertime tunes
Hey, sunshine. What are your plans for this summertime weekend? Since BBQs, cookouts and pool parties are so popular right now, we thought you could use some new tunes to add to the party playlist. Check ’em out, add them to your iPod and let the night-long dance party begin!

Continue to share your love for team U.S.A. (who cares if they’ve been cut from the FIFA World Cup?). Shakira’s voice may be hard to understand in the World Cup’s official song, especially since she switches up the languages on us, but it’s totally danceable. Show your spirit!
Katy Perry ft. Snoop Dogg – “California Gurls”
Anything sung by Katy Perry could potentially be your summer anthem, but this one is absolutely perfect. Plus, summer is the only time that most of the other states enjoy bikinis and sun-kissed skin “so hot we’ll melt your popsicle!”
3OH!3 ft. Ke$ha – “My First Kiss”
Play this while you’re getting ready to meet up with a cutie for some motivation. How cute would it be for this to be playing when you had your first kiss?
Sheryl Crow – “Summer Day”
Anything sung by Katy Perry could potentially be your summer anthem, but this one is absolutely perfect. Plus, summer is the only time that most of the other states enjoy bikinis and sun-kissed skin “so hot we’ll melt your popsicle!”

You may not be a punk-rock chick, but this song can still be your jam. H*Wood mentions all our favorite girls, like Rihanna and Gaga, with an amazing beat that’ll make you wanna jump around.
