Critic's Pick: Never Shout Never
Ever heard of Christofer Drew? The 19-year-old singer-songwriter heads up Never Shout Never, who released its latest album, Harmony, just last week. The songs are slow alternative-pop jams, and are fun to sing along to. Plus, he has a great message of peace in his tunes!
Our faves include the calm title track “Harmony,” with its meaningful lyrics along with the cute love song “Piggybank.” “Trampoline,” perhaps our favorite on the album, is a catchy pop-country song that will cause you to get up and snap your fingers. All in all, the songs on the album capture the spirit and sound of the one-man band, while still adding maturity to its newest lyrics.
Never Shout Never fans will love listening to an album reminiscent of the band’s original work, while new listeners will be swept away by the soothing power of each tune. We can tell this album is going to be big, so make sure you check it out and let us know your favorite tracks.
