The album includes all the iTunes releases we've heard in the last few weeks
like "Mine", "Speak Now", and "Mean," but we
couldn't wait to hear what else Tay had in store for us.
Speak Now mixes the classic Taylor we all know and love with
a new, more mature and grown-up Swift. We love both, and it's refreshing to
hear her break out with music that shows her growth as an artist, as well as a
person.
Those of you who adore Taylor’s old hits like "You Belong With Me"
and "Love Story" are sure to be listening to "Sparks Fly,"
"Long Live" and "If This Was A Movie" on repeat, where she
stays true to her familiar song-writing style.
For those dying to hear something new from the country/pop princess, check
out "Haunted," a beautiful rock ballad that showcases a bit of her
darker side, breaking away from the fiddles and predictable rhythms Taylor’s
often identified with.
In "Never Grow Up," Taylor expresses what everyone feels at some
point: Growing up is terrifying, so why can't we stay little forever? It's
heartbreaking and emotional, but definitely relatable.
All in all, Speak Now is just as
personal and emotional as all of Taylor's hits—but this time she delivers them
with a more mature style and grace that we hope is here to stay.
