6 TV ladies we're thankful for

Thanksgiving is almost here (where did the year go?!) and it’s time to take a step back and reflect on what we’re most thankful for. In the spirit of the holiday, GL put together a list of six lovely TV ladies that we’re thankful for. After all, being a girl can be tough at times, and these TV gals are filled with lessons that help us in our everyday lives. We don’t know where we’d be without them.

Alex Russo / Wizards of Waverly Place

Why? Alex shows us that you don’t have to be an A+ student to be an amazing person. On a lighter note, she also shows us that mixing and matching patterns is totally OK and should be done on the reg.

Sam Puckett and Cat Valentine / Sam and Cat

Why? These ladies are the perfect examples of keeping your best girlfriends close. When life is too much to handle, call up your bestie and she’ll be sure to calm your nerves (and help you out of trouble!). As they remind us, even when your best gal pals make you so mad, there’s a reason they’re your friends—they care about you and will drop everything to help.

    Jessie Prescott / Jessie

Why? Our all-time fave farm girl, Jessie, teaches us that you can do anything if you follow your heart; no dream is too big. Jessie left her small town to move to the big city in search of her dreams. She learned that life is tricky, but you have to keep working hard to get to where you want to be.

Riley Matthews / Girl Meets World

Why? Sometimes it’s tricky to be confident in yourself when you’re constantly surrounded by all these perfect TV ladies (PLL’s Spencer anyone?), but Riley shows us that we don’t have to be perfect. We all have embarrassing moments and awkward quirks that make us unique. Embrace them, don’t hide them! You are you and no one else can be you and we’re grateful for Riley reminding us of that.

    Hannah Montana / Hannah Montana

Why? Hannah helps us keep humor in our day. We’re not telling you to dress up like a reindeer to get the love of your life back (yes, she did that) but we are telling you to not take life so seriously. In the oh-so-poetic words of Hannah Montana, “Life’s what you make it.”
