Keith L. Williams takes us behind-the-scenes of The Astronauts

We're *so* excited to check out The Astronauts on Nickelodeon (premiering Friday, Nov. 13) starring Miya Cech, Bryce Gheisar and our newest fave—Keith L. Williams

Keith dished to Girls' Life *all* about the behind-the-scenes moments from filming, how he relates to his character Martin and more!

GL: What do you hope people love about The Astronauts?

Keith: I hope people enjoy the incredibly realistic CGI that went into making [the show]. The series is executive produced by Brian Grazer and Ron Howard, and it's nothing anyone has ever seen before on Nickelodeon. I can't wait for everyone to see it.

GL: One fun behind-the-scenes story?

Keith: During the scene where the kids sneak on the spaceship, we had to film it over and over because my jacket kept getting stuck on the fence when I went under it!

GL: One scene you can't wait to see on screen?

Keith: I'm really excited to see the spacewalk scene.

GL: How do you relate to your character Martin?

Keith: Martin is the quiet and reserved kid onboard the spaceship Odyssey II. He brings a healthy dose of common sense to the group—along with heart and loyalty. We're actually very similiar [in that] we are protective of our families. The only difference is that I would never be convinced to sneak on a spaceship.

GL: Acting role models and future dreams?

Keith: Viola Davis, Maya Rudolph and Will Smith. My dreams are to be a legendary movie producer and a world-renowned veterinarian.

GL: What are your hobbies and passions outside of actiing?

Keith: I'm really passionate about animals. I have a leopard gecko and I hope to get a ball python for Christmas. During quarantine I spent my time working out, gardening and lawn boarding.
