Godmothered is the new movie you *have* to watch this weekend
Raccoons, exploding pumpkins, and wishes coming true. What more could you want in a movie?
In Disney's Godmothered, we see how fairy godmother-ing has almost died out, and we see how the newest fairy godmother-in-training, Eleanor (played by Jillian Bell) has decided to make humanity believe in magic again.
After Eleanor decides to go on "assignment" to help a Mackenzie, a 10 year old in Boston, she gets the biggest shock when she learns that Mackenzie is actually grown and has kids already. And she doesn't make wishes or believe in "happily ever afters" anymore, which Eleanor needs to fix, to save fairy godmother-ing.
However, *many* things stand in her way, but Eleanor gets some help from Mackenzie's daughters, including Jane, played by Jillian Shea Speader. Jane faces problems on her own, especially when it comes to her stage fright, which Eleanor helps her overcome. While we won't spoil the end for you, it did finish with a happy ending (shocker!).
So grab a mug of hot cocoa, get your coziest blanket, and get ready to watch a movie that will make you laugh, jam out, and believe in happily ever afters again.
