cmfox99 Wow! Tht's sooooo cool. Where/when did you meet them? My friend almost met Makayla Maroney but then she ended up meeting Nastia Liukin instead (my ultimate ultimate role model gymnast) and I was sooo jealous! I was really happy though when Gabby won.

cmfox99 @bryngym - Ballet can stunt your growth, actually. When you go thru puberty as a ballet dancer (which is similar to rythmic gymnastics), you have the potential to start a growth spurt but long hours of practice and restrictive diets can prevent that.

cmfox99 @bryngym - Yes, gymnastics can stunt your growth once you reach a certain level. Girls at Olympic level are very small because most competitors are on certain diets. That plays a major part. Also, the amount of rigourous exercise can slow down your

cmfox99 If I do have to say so myself, one of my definite highlights was when Team USA won gold. That was a great moment in gymnastics history! The Fab Five did tremendous justice to teh Magnificent Seven of 1996. :D
