Hey mod!
I have curly hair, not tight tight curls, but lots of ringlets kinda like taylors. It takes forever to get it straight. I apply a heat protection straightining cream, and blow try with a round brush. Then I do the flat iron. I have to do small sections at a time, because if I don't it gets poufy. I love the way it looks straight, but are there any shortcuts to sleek hair? P.S. when my hair is straight, it is long, like past my chest.

Hey girlie, it sounds like the length of your hair is what's making it such a long process. You shouldn't cut it if you love your long hair, but there's not any shortcut either.

okay so my hair is naturaly wavy and really pretty but somtimes it would be nice to have straight hair you know? but so anyways i have 2 straightners i bought the first one when i was in 4th grade (now im in 8th) and it worked for awhile not to much any more though.. and the other one i got this summer after i went to my friends house and i used her straightner and it worked amazingly but thats like the only time my hairs ever accualy straightend its like my hair is cursed! it just refuses to straighten ive used all of the creams and spray and every thing.... PLEASE HELP because i want it straight for one of my preformances this week soo yaSmile




Hey girlie. Ask your friend what brand her straightener is and then maybe save up to buy that one. Some straighteners are just better quality. Unfortunately, sometimes they can be pretty expensive. Until you have the money to buy a new one try this: Wash your hair, blow dry it straight (don't let it dry naturally), then separate it into different sections. First leave only a bit of hair down and pull the rest back into a pony tail holder. Then let more and more hair down as you continue to straighten pieces. This should work! It may take a bit of time, but it's worth it because your hair will look and feel amazing. Good luck. xoxo

i need serious help!!!!!!!! when i wanna streighten my hair... i have to have my hair dresser do it, because it never satys streight but then i would have to put it on 350 degreese... and when i do that... it burns my hands when i touch my hair... HELP IS NEEDED ASAP!!! Smile

Hi, My hair is naturally wavy. (I get it from my real mom)I have tried asking my step-mom for a straitening Iron, because my wavy hair can get annoying, but she insists that it's strait. So she wont let me get a straitening iron, only curlers or curling irons. I have everything BUT the iron. is there any other way I can straiten my hair?

Hey, girl! I love my revoln straightener! It works well and not too expensive. Also look for any kind of leave-in straightener! Tats what I use before I dry and straighten my hair. Happy Thanksgiving!

MOD!!! I have this tiny crush on a guy I rally don't know. He's in my english class, but literally sits all the way across the room. He seems nice and really cute, but quiet. I caught him staring at me before in class too and when I look at him his eyes immediatley look away.Is that a good sign? He waved at me before too when we both were glancing at eachother. Let's just say it caught me off guard and I sorta jumped back in my seat. I really want to know him, but english is our only class. The only other time is sometimes in the hall or if I go to the atrium at lunch(he's one of the kids with study hall there). How can I get to know him? Any other advice?

I have really thick hair and I like to wear it to the side. That makes it thicker and my straigtner goes up to 25 but it does nothing no matter what. I need a really really good straightner. I have straightning shampoo but it still doesn't help. It's worst of all whenn I take a shower right before going to sleep please help I don't like my curly/wavy hair

I brought the amika: professional styler a few weeks ago, and i like it! Usually it takes time to straighten my sister's hair (about fifteen to thirty minutes), but now it only takes several minutes!

Taylor kind of looks like Halle Lidner from Death Note with that haircut, though.

Taylor can just about rock any hairdo she does, while curls look better, she rocks straight hair too. My hair looks exactly like hers does in the photo. My bangs are real though and I straighten my wavy hair. I have hazel eyes and bangs are the best! I also curl my hair sometimes. It's nice to alternate occaisonally ya know?

So...my bff really liked this one guy Bob for almost a whole year. He finally started liking her back a few months ago. He told her that he loved her and he was really sweet and stuff. Now she says she doesn't like him anymore and the only reason she did like him was for the things he said.

Hmmmm....I wonder about the straightener they recommended. I'm thinking about getting the InStyler. It has a built-in hairbrush, so it makes the process a lot faster and it's also only $100. It seems like a better alternative to two hot plates that are going to burn your hair and leave creases in it. What do you guys think?

hey katie! Next time you go to the saolon to get your haircut, ask if if you can get a straightening treatment! There is a type of chemical they can use to keep your hair straight (kind of liek the opposite of a perm)!

There was this guy, jack. He was the first guy I ever really crushed hard on, and for a while he flirted with me like crazy. Then I realized, he did that to half the girls in my class. I didn't loose hope though. Then, I found out he was dating this really super nice, kind, and friendly girl named Olivia before school even stRted! That means he was half dating/flirting with half the girls in my class while dating Olivia.  I'm so mad and sad and I don't know why......help!

 

Hey girlie. It's normal to be upset because he was leading too many girls on at the same time. This was wrong. If you are close to Olivia, it would be the right thing to let her know what was going on! Honesty is the best policy. But if not, it's best to just cut your losses, and next time, choose the nice guys. They may be dorky, but they treat you the best : )

I'm a freshman, in ALL advanced classes, and I'm Indian. My mom is SUPER strict on grades. Last year I had straight A's across the board but that was because I was in normal
Classes. Now I'm getting B's. I just had exams and I got b's on 3 of the exams. I know my mom will freak out. Idk what to do. She yelled at me when I got a b on a science test. I told her I did my best but she said I was a bad student.my life practically revolves around school though.

 

Hey girlie! First of all, take a deep breath. School can be extremely overwhelming especially when you are in all advanced classes. Over Thanksgiving Break, take a sheet of paper and write down how much time you spend a night on each class that you take. Break it down into sections. One that says time spent on homework assignments, one for studying for tests, and one for projects. Once you have all of the time you spend on school work written down, ask your mom if you can talk to her one-on-one about something that is really bothering you. Very Politely, show her the sheet. Tell her that practically all of your time goes towards doing well in school, and that you are truly putting in all the effort that you possibly could. Then tell her that you could either be the best in the class taking regular classes, or struggle with the hard classes, but still pull out a B in the first semester. Tell her that you like the challenge of taking hard classes because you know that you will become stronger and smarter in them. But, you need her support and assistance. Explain to her that you will keep doing your best, but it will not always result in straight A's. You are a young woman, and perfection is not an attainable goal. "Strive for excellence not perfection in all that you do." Hope this helps, girlie! If not, write back and we will think of something else!
