mod mod mod mod mod i really want to have a new years party (either my house or my gramas) but i have a few problems 1- i probably want to invite a couple of my guy friends along with the rest of my friends but my dad and grama probably wouldnt like the guy part-plus how would they get home that late because obviously no guys can spend the night 2- my mom (and my grama) barely lets me ever have more than one friend over at a time in the first place so i doubt a party would happen Frown 3- one of my friends had a little...issue (lets say my friend got really mad)at my b-day party so my mom said shes never coming over for a party again but i really wanna invite her (plus shes going out with one of my guy friends and it would be weird to have him over w/o her) also, what are some fun ideas to do for new years? thanks, XD003AMO

 

 

Hey chica! New Years parties are always fun to have. Maybe you can make a compromise with your rents, or your grandma. You can plan it all out in advance, and keep the number of people invited to a minimum number. And, you can do all of the clean-up and prep before and after so that your parents don't ave to worry about it. As for the guy sitch, make sure you compromise with your dad and grandma. Say, for example, that the guys will leave by a certain time at the latest. They can talk to their own parents about rides home, you shouldn't have to worry about that. And, regarding your friend, talk to your mom and let her know that you'll talk to your friend about it. Let your friend know that it won't be acceptible for her to act like she did before. And if she does, your parents will make her leave. As for party ideas, I'm having a masquerade party this year and making fancy, pretty masks. That's a fun idea Smile

theres a boy in my class who i have a crush on.he doesnt really seem like my type at all, but hes really sweet and funny.lately we've been talking in class and starting 2 flirt w/ eachother. everytime i talk 2 him he gets almost this nervous tik tht seems to stick out only wen i talk/he talks 2 me, he loves to brag around me,truns red wen i talk to him and always leans in2 me wen i talk to him.2day in class he also kept trying to brush against me/bump into me.anyways a few of my bffs (only the ones who no!)say tht though he appers 2 b a total oppisite 2 me, we could make it wrk,kinda like oppisites attract. one of my bffs even offered 2 possibly get us together!So 1) do u think he may like me and 2)should i take my bffs offer, or let things wrk out on there own?and if yes, wat should i do, turn up the flirting/get his #? thnxx




Hey girl, 1) he definitely likes you as a friend. Something more? Hard to say. There's a chance though! Keep an eye on his body langauge and what he says. 2)  You can enlist the help of your friends or go solo: whatever you are more comfy with. If you go solo, build up a friendship first. Ask if he wants to study with you sometime — you can get his number that way and work together on test prep after school. Just taking it out of the classroom is a good first step.

Is the teasing really something that is making you rethink the kiss? You have to think about what you want versus the consequences of it. If the positive things outweigh the negative, you just have to take a deep breath and go for it Smile And who knows - he could be too busy dancing with his friends {or a girl!} to even notice.

Hey girl,

Try looking at the mall for sports-related things! One of my old BFs was a big NY Jets fan, so I was able to get him a tee shirt from Old Navy for really cheap. He might also appreciate a book/DVD about the history of his fave sport. If you have a little more money, tickets to an upcoming game would be amazing - you can get cheaper ones the further away from the field/court you go.
