@coffeepanda I think i did exactly what you did! I think that it hurt because tampons are meant to soak up any liquid so it get all dry inside and the tampon can slide in easier....I think that when you actually have your period it gets easier to put it in but I don't have mine yet either and I'm 14 so if you don't get it for a while longer don't be worried! All my friends complain about it so that's definitely one cool thing. I don't have to worry about pads/tampons falling out of my bag either! Good luck! Smile

MOD MOD MOD Help! Okay, so the day after Christmas we are going to visit family, and it's an 6 hour plane ride. So it's been 3 weeks and 1 day since my last period. usually my periods come every 3 weeks - 3 weeks and 5 days. The longest was 4 weeks and 2 days, but I think that's because I was sick right before. Anyways, I really want it to come by Monday. It;s very very possible that it will come naturally that way, but otherwise, does drinking a lot of water speed it up???? if not, any other ideas??? and if it does come like on thursday or something where ill have it on vacay (i am really really hoping it wont tho) what do i do??? i do use tampons, but do i have to lug around pads and tampons in my suitcase?? and then there will be a mountain of tanpon wrappers and stuff in my relative's trash... thatll be awkward... so ya any ways to speed it up??? sorry so long & thanks in advance Smile

Hey chica, you can't really control when your periods, they'll just come naturally. Just be sure you're prepared for them. Smile Smile

I'm scared of getting my period. My mom says I will get it in 7th grade, witch I'm going into :O. I have discharge, and all the other signals. Dose it hurt or anything? I'm scared. Also I'm skinny, so will that affect when my period will start? Thanks

Hey girl, nope, to be honest, most of the time you don't even notice it. Periods sound way more scary and bigger than they really are. But as to whether or not you will get it next year definitely, it's hard to say. No one can predict the exact date, but just be ready with pads and take a deep breath. Trust me, it's nothing scary or painful in the least (cramps, on the other hand are a little discomforting ... )

ive tried tampons forever. they still hurt! ive tried different angles and everything! it feels like theres a wall or something? whats going on? please dont send me a link, ive seen them all.
thank you!

Hey girl,

If you're really having a hard time with them, either stick with pads, or see your doctor. Some girls have a lot of trouble with tampons, so it's best to visit your doctor to see if there's anything he or she can tell you. Good luck! x0x0

My mom said that she thinned out when she got her period. I recently got mine and I am 11. I have not noticed anything. How long will it take before you start seeing changes? Thanks!

Hey girl,

Everyone's different, so it's hard to give you an exact answer.  If it happened to your mom when she got her period, chances are it will soon happen to you, but it's really hard to tell with these things. Hope that helps! x0x0

Is there a way to get rid of cramps?thx

Hey babe! Cramps totally suck! If yours are really bad and you have other period pains also you can talk to your doctor about ways to help. Try taking advil or ibuprofin. Ibuprofin is a muscle relaxer and that usually helps with my cramps. Check with your parents before you take it! Feel better! xoxo

MOD- Okay, the past few days I've noticed that my eating is way off. I eat a couple spoonfuls of rice and I'm stuffed. Then, ten minutes later, I'm starving. What's going on?????

Hey girly,
It takes a few minutes for the brain to figure out when your stomach's hungry or not so this probably causes this. No worries. It is completely normal!

MODMODMOD- what is the right time 2 start wearing tampons instead of pads because i am 11 and i just started my period like a month ago, and i was wondering when i should start...

Hey girly! There's no right or wrong time... I'd say whenever you feel comfortable trying them!

Please help me! I'm in sixth grade and I just started my period, in January. This should be my third period...but it was supposed to be March twentieth, and it's like March 31! Is there something wrong with me?

Hey girlie! No, not at all. Many periods come on an irregular cycle- especially when you're first starting out. So don't worry- it will come.
