@coffeepanda I think i did exactly what you did! I think that it hurt because tampons are meant to soak up any liquid so it get all dry inside and the tampon can slide in easier....I think that when you actually have your period it gets easier to put it in but I don't have mine yet either and I'm 14 so if you don't get it for a while longer don't be worried! All my friends complain about it so that's definitely one cool thing. I don't have to worry about pads/tampons falling out of my bag either! Good luck!
