I really like a guy at school, but I am too scared to tell him. He doesn't have a Facebook, and even if he did, I would be too scared (still). Please help me!

There is this boy in my grade that has autism. We are in 7th grade and he does babyish things. Honestly, I don't care. But then he will call out my name and tell me I'm cute and pretty. He also tells people things about me that are not true.. like embarrassing things.He told my crush about me and half of it wasn't true. How do I tell him to leave me alone without hurting his feelings??




Hey girlie,

He has autism, but he's also a person - and he's not just "acting like he has autism," he's spreading rumors and lies about you. So you might want to be more delicate than you'd normally be to a guy like this, but you still have to be firm and tell him to stop. Try catching him one-on-one after school and be honest. Tell him you know he's been saying things about you that aren't true and you really want him to stop. Tell him you're flattered by the compliments but you think you should just be friends - apologize and move on. Be firm and let him know where you stand! If it continues, try talking to your teacher, who might be able to talk to him privately about it <3

I'm in 8th grade and ever since I can remember I've wanted to be in the gifted program at school. I got a letter in 6th grade saying I was gifted and that I was going to take a test to measure it or something. My teacher never gave me a test so I got another letter in the mail saying I didn't score high enough. Now I keep seeing my friends get a letter saying theyre gifted! My boyfriend got a letter but he had two Cs last quarter! I'm taking 10th grade Geometry and I have a 103% in it and have straight As. I don't know what more I can do! It's really bothering me. Not only have I wanted this for so long, but the girl I absolutely HATE is in it too. She thinks she's so much better and smarter than me! And that just makes me want it more!

Definitely go talk to your teacher about this and see if it's not too late to take the test!

Hey amyrose99, yeah going to a public high school would probably be a great experience for you. You would get tbe in class experience, make new friends and go to dances. And if you don't like it you can always go back to being home schooled. Think about it girl. Xoxo

I'm in a HUGE sitch! I don't even know what I wat anymore!! I'm homeschooled, but I'm thinking about goin back to public school for high school... But I don't know if I should. I mean, yah, I MIGHT feel like I'm having the normal high school experience like various teachers, lot's or crushes and girl friends, but, even MORE friend-making would probably be the only reason I'd wanna go! Cuz it might be very difficult & full of pressure. Although, I think I MAY have what it takes to give a great Valedictorian speech! Oh, I don't know! What should I do? Lynae P.

in math, my bff got mad @ me when i got a 100 on my math test. she starts getting really mad at me and never wants to look at her grades. i try to support her and she just starts crying. i get really pset when she cries but i don't wanna baby her too much. what should I do?

It's a little early to be thinking about this, but im terrified of going to highschool, and I find myself dreading it more and more each passing day. I've been going to a private Catholic school for the past eight school years, and next year I'll be going to a public school. I won't know anyone and I tend to be really shy and awkward when it comes to making friends. Can you help calm my nerves?

It's totally normal to be afraid of the unknown! The whole idea of the big "HIGH SCHOOL" is nerve-wracking, but luckily we have a few articles that I think will really help calm you down. Remember: there's no possible way to be 100% prepared for high school, but if you go in with a positive attitude and a commitment to making the most of it (by doing well in classes, meeting new people, trying new things like clubs and sports, etc.), you'll do amazingly <3

Hey girly! It is okay to be chatty but make sure you are including others in the conversations and asking people about themselves and not making every conversation just about you.
