Hello! I have lately been thinking about asking mom to let me shave my armpits. I think my older sister started in 6th or 7th grade. I am currently in 6th grade. I'm not going to come right out and say it, I'm going to start by saying "How old was ______ when she started shaving her underarms?" and then I would say "Is the skin on MY armpits as sensitive as the skin on my legs?" BTW, the reason I am not allowed to shave my legs is because they are too sensitive. What are some tips for asking her?

Hey girl, why not be honest with your mom? Tell her you'd really like to start shaving your arm pits because you're not comfortable with the way they look and it would mean a lot to you. That might work out better than the "because she did, I should too" argument. Honesty and sincerity can make all the difference!
