The six Earth Day activities any babe will love

Happy Earth Day! Earth Day is on April 22, and this year we set up a list of six different Earth Day activities you can get involved. Not only can you be a part of raising awareness for the environment, but you’ll have a lot of fun participating in helping and admiring Mother Nature as well. Check them out our favorite Earth Day activities below.

1. Go for a hike

There’s no better way to get in touch with the outdoors than exploring it yourself. Bring a friend along for an adventure-packed day of appreciating nature’s beauty around you.

2. Feed your neighborhood birds

Calling all bird lovers! Today’s the perfect day for building a birdhouse or to create your own birdfeeder. Click here for 23 different birdfeeder crafts you can do yourself.

3. Create a garden

There’s nothing prettier than your own array of plants, flowers and food you grew all by yourself. If you want to step up your gardening game, join a local community garden. You’ll meet new people who love the planet as much as you do.

4. Get a tree-hugging squad together

Love trees? Well this is the perfect thing for you. Organize a bunch of your fellow tree-loving best buds and hit up your local park to hug and also plant a bunch of trees. Global warming is an actual thing affecting our earth, and trees have the ability to save our planet by sucking up all the carbon dioxide. So get hugging and planting!

5. Go vegetarian/vegan for the day

If you already don’t eat meat, this'll be easy. But if you do eat meat, this could a bit of a challenge. If you keep an open mind and try that weird looking tofu dish, you might be surprised to find how good it actually is.

6. Go camping

Why not spend your Earth Day night sleeping under the stars with a warm campfire next to you? You’ll probably find the darkness of nature surrounding you more peaceful than you'd expect. Make it a more environmental friendly camping trip with friends and family by banning all electronics; after all, there’s more to the world than what’s on the screen of your phone.

What Earth Day activities are you planning this year? How are you celebrating?
