MAKE IT CUTE

Parties

Here's what you *need* to throw the perfect Mardi Gras party

Mardi Gras is coming up on February 28th...and while you might not be at the parade in the Big Easy, you can (and should!) still celebrate at home. To help you plan the most fab fete (that's French for party), we’ve rounded some of our favorite finds from delicious eats to purple, green and gold *everything*.

Colorful kernels
Popcorn is always a party fave, but this recipe takes it to the next level with splashes of Mardi Gras colors.

Rad wreath
Welcome your guests with a masquerade wreath. This one is super easyjust attach a bunch of masks together and top off with a ribbon.

Glam garland
Make your own colorful garland to string around the room. Bonus: Use glittery cardstock for an extra special feel.

King cake
This delicious dessert is one of the holiday's biggest traditionsa plastic baby is hidden inside the cake and whoever finds it in their slice, is thought to have good luck for the next year. Plus, the finder of the baby is crowned queen for the evening!

If you aren't up for making an entire cake, or just want something a little more grab-and-go for your guests, try these mini king cake knots instead.

Glitter candles
If you're feeling fancy, make these DIY candle holders to add some glitz and glam.

Magical masks
Every girl needs a gorgeous mask for the party. Have each guest decorate their own using glitter, pom poms, paint and anything else you can think of.

Fab photobooth
Of course, you *have* to get pics of you all in your DIY masks. Pile on lots of beads, too, then pose in front of a festive backdrop that looks like you're on the streets of New Orleans for the best Insta shot.
