LIFE

Dear Carol

"Dear Carol, I'm totally drowning in all my schoolwork"

Dear Carol,

I’m counting the days until Christmas vacation, but I’m drowning in work and feeling very anxious.

- Too Many Tests

Dear Too Many Tests,

You’re not the only student feeling anxious right now. It’s a normal response because it’s hard when you’re close to a finish line but still have to stay in high gear. Since you know that relaxation is around the corner, keep powering through so you can do well in each course. It’s great to be learning for the sake of learning, but when you get good grades, they are a well-earned reward that can serve to keep your options wide open when you apply to college. So stay organized, seek help if you need to, get enough sleep and give yourself a pat on the back for doing your best. Is there someone (Mom? Grandfather? Coach? ) who’s great at boosting your confidence? Let them know you could use a pep talk. Or heck, I’ll give you one: You’ve got this! You’re amazing, you know your stuff and I’m proud of you!
