Must-watch movies for your next BFF sleepover

What better way to bond with your besties than breaking out your sleeping bags, crunching on a boatload of snacks and popping in a DVD? Sleepovers can take many forms: Maybe you and your friends blast music and dance around your bedroom, or maybe your crowd prefers to bake cookies instead. Regardless, if you're having a sleepover with your BFF, there's a 99 percent probability that at some point you two will relax on the couch, put your feet up and watch a movie together. If you're struggling to come up with the perfect idea, we're here to help.

If you and your BFF love to sing, or you're just looking for a hilarious romcom, try Music & Lyrics.
Hugh Grant plays a witty (but lonely) former boy bander looking to make a comeback and be taken seriously in the music world. Recruited to write a hit love song for a teen pop sensation, he unexpectedly finds help in the charming, talented woman he's hired to water his plants (Drew Barrymore). The two become an unstoppable songwriting duo, and their chemistry is *insane.*

If you and your bestie are budding entrepreneurs, future businesswomen or dream of living in NYC, see The Intern.
Anne Hathaway stars as the founder and CEO of her own fashion company, which is basically #lifegoals. Her Brooklyn headquarters is so awesome, it literally has an in-house massage therapist, and some of her clients include Beyonce and Jay-Z. Just watching this movie will make you want to pack a suitcase and head to NYC ASAP. The fashion startup's newest intern, played by Robert De Niro, is a tad older than the CEO...but nevertheless, the two develop a close bond, and encourage each other to pursue their passions.

If you and your BFF want to travel the world and learn about other cultures, or you love inspirational movies based on true stories, try Lion.
This *amazing* movie, starring Dev Patel and Nicole Kidman, introduces us to a young boy named Saroo, who spends his early years in India. When he accidentally boards a train and becomes separated from his brother, he cannot find his way home again. He is then adopted by a lovely couple, and moves to Australia with them. As he grows up, he becomes more and more interested in tracing his roots, and finding his biological family.

If you and your BFF are future STEM leaders, or you love stories about talented women overcoming *unfathomable* obstacles, watch Hidden Figures.
We've all heard about the Space Race in school; astronauts like Neil Armstrong and John Glenn might be familiar to us, but how much have we learned about the brilliant female scientists that were crucial to the success of NASA's early expeditions? Hidden Figures shines a light on those pioneering women who went unacknowledged and unappreciated for so long, with stellar performances from Taraji P. Henson, Janelle Monae, and Octavia Spencer.

If you have a tight knit group of besties, or you're a rising soccer star, check out The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.
This option might be the *ultimate* movie for BFFs. Four close friends are spending their summer apart, but keep in touch by mailing each other the mysterious pair of jeans that somehow fits them all perfectly. Lena (Alexis Bledel) jets off to Greece, Bridget (Blake Lively) heads to soccer camp in Mexico, Tibby (Amber Tamblyn) stays home to film a documentary, while Carmen (America Ferrera) helps her dad plan his wedding.

If you two are fashionistas, history buffs or just looking for a swoon-worthy love story, watch The Young Victoria.
Emily Blunt stars as Victoria, Queen of England, in this beautiful and romantic movie. Sheltered throughout her childhood, Victoria is thrust into one of the most powerful positions in the world while she's still just a teenager. It's worth watching for the decadent, amazing costumes alone, but is also great for the royal, political drama, ambitious heroine, luxurious castles and of course, Albert, also known as Prince Charming himself.
