How to choose the *perfect* college for you

Countless high school seniors around the nation are receiving exciting college acceptance letters and, frankly, disappointing rejection letters. You’d think the stressful part is over once you finish applying to schools, but the hard part still remains: *actually* deciding on a place to spend the next four (or more!) years of your life.  Worry not: We have some tips to make this process easier for you.

Establish goals
Everyone has different goals in life. Now is a good time to determine what yours are. Have you decided on a major? What do you want to gain over these next four years? Do you know what you want to do after you graduate from college? Having answers to these questions will take you one step closer to making the right decision.

List pros and cons
This will help you greatly, especially after you have figured out what you want to get out of your time in college. If there’s a school with more cons than pros, cross it off your list of contenders.

Think realistically
You're not going to become a radically different person as soon as you step foot onto a college campus. Are you a shy person? Perhaps you would do better in a smaller university. Are you a big city type of girl? A school in the countryside might not right for you. It’s good to take risks, but don’t throw yourself into extreme change thinking things will be easy.

Prioritize
College is, first and foremost, about furthering your education at the best college that you can. Other factors should always come second to this.
