I’m 14 and desperately anticipating sex. Enough to where I simulate it. I promised myself I’d stop, but I keep breaking my promise. I keep thinking what my relatives and friends would think. I can’t talk to my parents about it. 
 
Dear Desperate,
 
Don’t be so hard on yourself. Simulating sex is safe and common. A really bad idea would be to rush into the arms of a random guy just because you feel curious or desirous. Too-soon sex can leave a girl pregnant, diseased, heartbroken or all of the above. But simulation? Not a crime. Just be sure to lock your bedroom door during these private moments.

It's not gross it's better then actually having u know what
If anything I think it helps just make sure u wash your hands
Its not something to be ashamed of a lot of girls do it
Don't worry I think in a way in it helps With hormones

Omg, I've been doing this since I was really little (at first it was accidental), and I always thought I was crazy or sick! But after reading some articles on this site, I realized that what I do is normal and perfectly fine. I really must thank girlslife for the help it gave me. Meghan D.

First off, sorry for editing your comment - it's not a bad question, but we just want to make sure our website is safe and comfortable for GL readers of all ages Smile As for your question, there's nothing wrong or dirty about what you're doing. If you don't feel comfy with it though and you really want to stop, try replacing the behavior with something else. When you get the urge to do it, try writing in your diary instead. Dance around to your favorite song. Paint or write a story. Go for a jog or even just a walk. Call a friend and talk about their day. Just replace that with something else, and soon you'll totally break the habit Smile
