Do I have to be popular to snag a BF?

HIS ANSWER: “Absolutely not. For most guys popularity isn’t that big of an issue and for the majority of us it won’t have an effect on whether we like you or not,” says Langston, 15. “As for the guys who use popularity as a deciding factor in relationships, well they aren’t the guy for you and you will be much happier without them.”

DECODED: Boys so don’t care about popularity! Honestly, they think all the social climbing and back stabbing is way unattractive – guys just want a sweetie who will treat them well, and whether you have a million friends or like to hang solo, it’s your personality that’ll draw 'em in. And those guys who actually do care? Trust me, ya don’t want to get anywhere near 'em – that’s a major sign that they’re not worth your time.

YOUR MOVE: Don’t worry, chica! It doesn’t matter if you aren’t popular, so don’t waste time trying to improve your social standing. If your classmates would rule you off because you don’t sit at the “right table,” look for boys outside of school who aren’t so shallow. Be confidant and let your fabulous personality shine and you’ll have quality boys lining up in no time.
