Summer
is always the best time of the year. Not just because of the warm weather, the
bright sun, and no school, but also because there are tons of concerts to go
to!
One
of the best tours every summer? The Vans
Warped Tour. The tour kicked off last weekend in Salt Lake City and is
trekking cross-country through August. Tons of stages, tons of artists, and
tons of summer fun! Check out our favorite jams by some of this year’s Warped
Tour acts.
“Dear Maria,
Count Me In” - All Time Low
Pop
rock is a genre of music that has gone from being very small to very large in a
short amount of time. But that’s OK because of songs like this that remind us
exactly why we love the genre!
“Ocean Avenue”
- Yellowcard
This
throwback is still one of the best around! It is super fun, easy to sing along
to, and makes you move your head to the rhythm without you even knowing.
“We’ll Be a
Dream (feat. Demi Lovato)” - We The Kings
The
boys of We The Kings take a break from their fast-paced rockish anthems to team
up with Demi for a sweet, emotional song. Demi’s voice helps make the track
even sweeter!
“No One Does
It Better” - You Me At Six
This
song has a slow and simple melody that breaks out into a more demanding chorus
while still keeping that cool, smooth rhythm.
“Blackout” –
Breathe Carolina
When
you want a fun, dance song, this is it! Grab your buds and blast it while
hangin’ in room.
“Gotta Be” –
The Green
From
Hawaii, these guys know how to make a song that is relaxed, but fun! Their
voices are reggae and pure.
“La La Love” –
Taylor Thrash
Such
a sweet and cute tune! His acoustic voice is simple and perfect.
“Empty With
You” - The Used
The
song has so much meaning—that love is more important than anything else in the
world.
“Exits and
Entrances” - We Are The In Crowd
The
mix of vocals on this track (and most of this band’s tracks) is amazing. The
girl and the guy blend very well together. And the lyrics? Full of emotion.
