How to perfect the "I'm cold" makeup look for winter

Say goodbye to the summer sunburnt blush trend and say hello to the "I'm cold" makeup look. To match the winter season, makeup fanatics have created the newest makeup craze to cutely mimic the frosty flush you get when there is a snowy breeze. A very natural lewk, we've found all the essentials you need to perfect "I'm cold" makeup (and it only requires a few basic products)!

Step 1: The base

@fernandaraamirez

To transform into the snow angel of your dreams, start with your everyday base products. You want to go for a brighter undereye, so opt for a light concealer and set with some powder. In terms of eyebrows, we love a clear brow gel that will keep your hairs in place *all* day.

We recommend: Glossier Boy Brow in clear

Step 2: Blush, blush, and more blush!

@aquired.style

When it comes to "I'm cold" makeup, skip the bronzer, and go heavy on the blush. To imitate that effortless wintery flush, blush placement is key. Setting it apart from our summer blush, apply color to the apples of your cheeks instead of the high points and the tip of your nose instead of the bridge. To match the seasonal frost, we recommend going for pink and red hues.

We recommend: Benetint Cheek and Lip Stain

Step 3: Highlight

@audreytrullinger

For highlight, a white shimmer is key. Target your highlight on the inner corners of your eyes and nose for an adorbs icy look.

We recommend: Ofra Cosmetics Glazed Donut Highlighter

Step 4: Eyes

While all-natural will do the job amazingly, to take the frost-bitten makeup look further, add a pop of white glittery cool tones on your eyelids. Follow up with your fave mascara, and if you prefer, you can also add a small brown wing (for the eyeliner girlies) to seal the look.

We recommend: MAC Dazzleshadow Liquid Eyeshadow

Step 5: No more chapped lips

@mililyy

To cope with the dry season, be sure to moisturize your lips (dewy lips are a must). To finish the simple winter look, we heart a tinted lip balm or a lip tint in pink to pair with the flush.

We recommend: Dior Addict Lip Maximizer
