SOS: Crayola is saying goodbye to one of its iconic crayon colors

When you were younger, you may remember *begging* your parents for a new box of Crayola crayons for your birthday, Christmas or honestly, just because. Like when the box of neon colors came out? Or when they finally created a pack with a built-in sharpener? You definitely had a major fangirl momentwe’ve all been there.

Tomorrow, Friday, March 31st is National Crayon Day. You’d think that in order to celebrate this super exciting day, Crayola would release a new crayon color to their collection, but instead, they are sadly removing one of the colors from their box of 24 (*cries*). This will be the very first time the company retires a color from the box. However, lots of people are actually questioning this vow, saying it might just be an early April Fool’s Day joke.

Whether it is or isn’t, Crayola has started a countdown to a livestream that will eventually announce which color will say its farewell and we really could not be more anxious. There’s even an oversized box of 24 sitting on the street in New York City.

To join in, share a pic of your favorite crayon color with #ShareYourFave on Instagram. People all over the world are impatiently waiting for the announcement and are running out to the store to get the very last packs of the original box of 24. Don't have one? There's still time, so grab one before they are *all* gone.

Which crayon color do you think they’ll remove from the box? Let us know your predictions in the comment section below!
