Must List

Football apps that will make your boy buds proud

It’s true, some of us girls love to plop down on our couch every Sunday with a bowl of popcorn and catch the football games on for the day. It’s even better when we get a glimpse of some of those cutie pie quarterbacks (ya know, Joe Flacco, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees…just to name a few). OK, and some of us couldn’t be bothered with any sort of end zone action. But it’s never too late to start cheering.

Super Bowl XLV is happening this Sunday, Feb. 6. Will you be tuning in? To prep for the big day (or to continue the frenzy once football season is over) we’ve got a few sporty apps for your favorite tech gadgets. We’re sure your BGFs will be thrilled!

Kurt Warner’s Football 101 for Kids - Pocket Edition
For $1.99, this app will teach you everything you need to know about the game! Kurt Warner and his pal Qubee will take you through four different aspects of football to get you ready to watch and understand the big game this Sunday. Oh, and you can score points through the different lightening quizzes. Cool, huh?

NFL Mobile
It’s a FREE app directly from Verizon Wireless. You’ll get exclusive coverage and live broadcasts for the big game. There are NFL films and the 24/7 NFL Network streaming, too.

Football Discussion Free
Do you love talking about football, but your friends just aren’t into it? This free app is a forum for everything American Football. Not only can you discuss the pro games, but college games, too. There are all sorts of categories for you to choose from to share your football thoughts with.

CBS Sports
From the TV network, CBS, this free app has news about all sports. You can keep up with football, soccer, basketball, and more. It will give you the most up to date info, and allows you to share sports articles with your friends through Twitter and Facebook. Sweet!

Be sure to check out Super Bowl XLV this Sunday at 6:30 p.m. ET on FOX.
