Early bird period
My period seems to be getting earlier and earlier every
month! I just got mine today and it's about a week earlier than last month. Is
this normal or should I be concerned?
Each girl’s period is 100-percent unique, right down to the number of days of your cycle. A standard cycle is 28 days—not a full calendar month. For girls who are regular, it’s typical to get your period a few days earlier each month…if you’re counting week-by-week instead of by the actual day.
Further, it’s not unusual for your period to come earlier or
later than “normal” because of a variety of things going on your life, from
stress to a change in diet. Unless you experience a significant change—getting
your period repeatedly far earlier than you should or seeing it drop off for
months on end—you shouldn’t be worried. But if you are, give your doc a call,
just to be on the safe side.
